My Entrepreneural Journey Began in 1971
Hi, my name is Mick Owen and, even though it doesn’t seem that long ago to me, I really did start my journey as an entrepreneur 50+ years ago, before my 21st birthday. I have had my share of stumbles, even failures, but certainly successes since 1971. I think it is fair to say that I have had varied experiences and learning opportunities during that time span. Many people dream of owning their own business but never get started, usually from self-doubt or fear of failure. Let’s face it: gaining financial freedom from owning your own business doesn’t happen overnight, but with a solid plan, determination, and getting up and keep going when you do stumble, you can make it happen.
Along the way, I have earned a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance from the University of North Texas (UNT), I was the Executive Producer of the infomercial “Target Success” by the late Don Dwyer, who was inducted into the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in 2012. I was also listed in the Marquis Who’s Who in Finance and Industry in 1994.
My hope is that I can provide some guidance and encouragement for you that will make your journey even more successful.
My Financial Journey
From No Experience and No Start Up Money to Seeing A Path Forward As A Serial Entrepreneur
A few years ago, I was where many of you might be right now—with no real idea of how to get started, with no money to get started, without a college education at that time, just a burning desire to be my own boss. Let me tell you, often the stress was relentless. I was constantly worried about making ends meet, and I didn’t really see a clear path forward, but I did have the Vision of what could be. What would be. I made the decision that if I was going to be successful, then I would be responsible and accountable for what I did. I was determined to figure it all out, and making the decision not to quit.
I began to meet those in my local community who had already been where I was headed on my journey, and let them guide and mentor me. Not only that, I was coachable, I made sacrifices, cut out unnecessary expenses, and stuck to a plan. Slowly, but surely, I saw small successes turn into bigger successes. It wasn’t easy—there were setbacks along the way—but with determination and self-discipline, I persevered and started leveraging each successful business into another business.
I have owned service businesses, brick and mortar businesses, real estate investments and developments, technology, and online businesses.

Fast-forward to today, and I’ve turned my uncertain future and struggles into a mission to help others. Not only have I eliminated my own debt, but I’ve created duplicatable systems that will empower others so that they can do the same. My life-goal now is to help countless individuals and families break free from the chains of debt and achieve financial peace of mind.
I want to show you that it’s possible to break free from financial stress and build a life of abundance. You don’t have to be held hostage by debt, paycheck-to-paycheck living, or the fear of not having enough. With the right plan and mindset, you can achieve financial independence and create the future you deserve.
What started as a personal journey has grown into a community of like-minded individuals all working toward the same goal: financial freedom.
